THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT NYSC REGISTERATION

1. USE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER-These two portals are very essential as they are means of communication between you and the NYSC portal, do not use any person's email or number order than yours as messages would subsequently be sent to you through this means.
If you don't own an email account try and open one,gmail is easier and most preferable.

2.DILIGENTLY CARRY OUT THE REGISTRATION PROCESS BY YOURSELF- Be actively involved in the registration process as vital information about you would be collected via form filling and it is expected that you apply some deligence during this process. Do not leave this process entirely for  someone else in order to ascertain spellings,accuracy and other typographical errors.

4.KEEP CHECKING YOUR EMAIL-Constant checking of your mail is essential as significant messages could be sent to you anytime.

5.DO NOT LAMINATE ANY OF YOUR DOCUMENTS

6.THINGS YOU WOULD NEED IN THE CAMP; School Identity card, medical fitness paper from a Government hospital, call up letter (original), clearance letters.

7.COLORED DOCUMENTS. Your call up letter and green card should be printed in coloured inks and not black and white.

8.STATES SELECTION CRITERIA-Four states will be chosen from four geopolitical zones. Note; you will not be posted to your state of origin and state of graduation.

9.MARRIAGE SELECTION CRITERIA-Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.
10. FOREIGN STUDENTS
  • Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
    • West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or High School Diploma or its equivalent.
    • First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary).
    • Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
    • International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study.
    11.PASSPORT CRITERIA-
    • Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
      • Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
      • Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
      • Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
